Job description

We are currently looking for Everyday Banking Advisors within our Client Care Call Centre. Our clients value advisors who:

  • Engage in conversation, ask open-ended questions, and actively listen with acknowledgement and empathy.
  • You are obsessed with providing WOW experiences for clients and always doing the right thing. That means going beyond the transaction, and truly getting to know the unique story of the person on the other end of the phone.
  • You are a problem-solver, hungry to find innovative solutions for your clients' challenges.
  • You will be supporting Albertans through inbound calls which include day-to-day banking and credit products.
  • Client Care is open 7 days a week, 364 days per year.
  • Banking is serious stuff, and engaging with customers over the phone isn’t for everyone, but we’re not worried. You have customer service, previous banking or call center experience under your belt or you’re excited to transfer your skills and feel confident that this role is a fit for you, given its unique challenges


Total Compensation: Full/Part-time - $47,000-49,000 per year (F-PFS)


  • Shift premiums and differentials available:
    • o $2.25/hour from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am
    • o $1.50/hour on Saturdays
    • o $2.25/hour on Sundays
  • Overtime shifts are available (as needed by the business)

Location:

Calgary - This is a HYBRID role that will require 2 days per week in-office at our Calgary Campus location (3699 63 Ave NE). Subject to change based on business needs. #LI-Hybrid
FULL-TIME: Client Care is open 7 days a week, 364 days a year. Shifts are based on a 6 week rotation requiring full flexibility, between the hours of 7am and 11pm. Training will be for the first 9 weeks.

The Client Care career path at ATB includes multiple levels of opportunities that range from entry-level to advanced client service, sales advisory, underwriting and various levels of leadership. It will take you a minimum of 18 months to learn and develop through the Client Care roles.

Requirements:

2-3 years experience providing exceptional customer service in a professional work environment with a proven track record of success is required

  • Flexibility in schedule and ability to work rotational shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays is a must
  • Basic understanding of Canadian Banking & Banking Products: be it managing your own finances, working in another financial institution or in a fast-paced client facing environment, using cash management skills, our broad range of opportunities can align to your experience. You have used a chequing and savings account, online and mobile banking.
  • You are Client-obsessed and thrive on making great things possible for your clients, team members, Albertans, and beyond. You are driven to perform and have an innate drive for high performance and meeting organizational goals. You are a champion of belonging, embracing the values of diversity & inclusion, and champion the idea that our differences are our strengths.

What else?

Call Centre and/or Banking experience, or education in Finance/Business (or related field) is an asset, but not required

  • You are adept at using technology, sourcing information online, ensuring processes are followed, and able to use self serve tools and possess a degree of digital literacy
  • You are a problem solver, and thrive on digging in and finding ways to make the impossible possible
  • You are able to independently prioritize and complete your tasks efficiently
  • You are a connector who thrives on building new relationships and nurturing existing ones
  • You are curious, adaptable and fiercely accountable
