Reporting to the Academics Department, the Exam Invigilator would be responsible for overseeing and supervising examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions.
The upcoming exam period is: April 22nd to April 26th, 2024
Job duties would include but are not limited to:
The Invigilator position is responsible for providing a secure exam delivery and superior customer service in a comfortable, respectable environment. In this position, you will be required to:
- Comply with all testing procedures and strictly adhere to company policies using careful judgment.
- Check in testing candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
- Ensure students follow the regulations of an examination room as laid out in the examination guidelines.
- Maintain security and confidentiality.
- Record attendance on the official Attendance rosters.
- Ensure no inappropriate items are brought into the examination hall, such as mobile phones, personal laptops, notes or other paperwork unless expressly permitted.
- Ensure there is no talking or disruption for the candidates once an examination has begun.
- Ensure all candidates are seated before opening the question papers.
- Ensure that invigilators DO NOT help candidates in any way with the question paper.
- Proctor / invigilate candidates while testing.
- Troubleshoot with internal departments to fix technical issues.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1-year customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience proctoring or invigilating exams is highly preferred.
- Must be available to work on specific days/time and attend a mandatory training.
- Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time and escort candidates to and from testing room.
- Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment, hear soft voices, and see details from a distance.
