Excavator Operator

Plaid Projects Excavating is looking for an experienced professional, and versatile residential Excavator Operator who can contribute to several aspects of the day to day business including: Operating the excavator, Coordinating trucks, safety site assessments, working with job management apps, communicating with site supervisor, project manager and office staff.

We specialize in new residential infills and multi-family homes providing demolitions, excavation and landscaping construction services.

We are looking for an individual who possess at least 3 years of residential basement excavating experience (demolition experience would be an asset). A successful candidate is someone who would like to grow with us as a company! A self starter, works well with minimal supervision, team player, who is adaptable and willing to work and switch tasks if required. The mandatory minimum requirements of applicants are;

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience with residential foundation excavation.

· A Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle to commute to/from job sites.

· The ability to read and understand plans (blueprints).

· The ability to read and understand grade stakes, locates.

· Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.

· A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.

· The willingness to take part in a safe work environment and ability to complete safety checklists/paper work when required.

·Ability to drive a truck and a trailer, onboarding and offloading equipment (Class 5)

Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
