Our name Tiičma (teech-ma) means ‘heart’ in Nuučaan̓ał. We are seeking an Executive Assistant to join our team,

The Executive Assistant (EA) position is to support Tiičma’s Chief Executive Officer and, on occasion, other senior management team members. The EA typically manages organizational, administrative, and business-related tasks for the CEO/management team, such as creating reports, organizing travel and accommodation, taking minutes, scheduling meetings, and performing similar duties. EAs have a good understanding and practice of Office 365 and Google Docs. EAs are extremely fast at solving problems and responding to urgent matters/concerns. They often act as gatekeepers and filter the immediate priorities of the CEO and other senior managers. EAs are a valued asset and a core of the Tiičma Management Team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Scheduling and managing appointments
Organizing and maintaining paperwork
Communicating with stakeholders
Conducting research
Acting as a liaison
Provide administrative support as required
Committee assignments, if required
Other duties as assigned by the CEO
Maintain confidentiality

Our ideal candidate:
Post-secondary education in administrative studies, business administration, or a similar field
WHMIS
Violence and Harassment Training
First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Occupational Health and Safety Courses / Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Microsoft Office
Experience taking minutes and distributing them
Experience working in a First Nations environment - asset
Valid DL and clear driver’s abstract
Some travel via boat/plane to remote logging road
Willingness to develop in this position
2+ years experience with senior managers in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Health and Safety Committee experience - asset

Total time: 35 hours per week 8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch

It may require occasional evening, weekend, and stat hours to meet the business's operational needs (i.e., special projects, training, and meetings). Travel for business operations (overnight in Houpsitas).
