Experienced Class 5 Courier Driver - 5 Ton Truck

***Earnings potential from $2,000.00 bi-weekly on average (during training and beyond)***

Terminal: Regina

Full – Time permanent with benefits

Start time: 7AM to 7PM Working days: Monday to Friday

No Weekends or Holidays

Overtime: Overtime is based on freight volume, weather, mechanical delays etc.

What you will do:
Drive a 5 Ton Truck to a Sprinter Van(various) to deliver and or pick up freights to assigned stops within Regina

• Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time (approximately 20 to 40 deliveries/day)
• Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
• Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck Lift and carry up to 60-75lbs. of freight
• Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
• Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
• Report on all safety hazards and accidents
• Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc….
• Provide excellent customer service
• Build strong client relationships
• Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
• Additional duties as required

What we require of you:

• High School Diploma
• Valid Class 5 License is a must
• Valid Class 3 Commercial Driver’s License is an asset
• Possess a Clean Commercial and Personal Driver’s Abstract
• Courier or LTL experience is an asset
• Minimum 2 year COMMERCIAL COURIER DELIVERY DRIVING experience
• This shift will be Monday to Friday from 7AM to 7PM. Overtime offered based on freight volume, delays etc...
• Lift and carry freight up to 75 lbs. and load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a dolley and or a pallet truck Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
• Customer Focus – experience providing quality customer service
• Adaptable to change
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Experience working independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to work on a team and being a team player
• Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
• Must have a safety and compliance mind set
