This is permanent part-time Driver position and the person will be doing the Tuesday runs. It is for 8 hours per week.
Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Drivers will be responsible for the transfer of mail, books, miscellaneous library material and equipment between library branches. The position involves independent, unsupervised time and is physically demanding. Most of the Drivers time is spent on actual driving, the loading and unloading of materials and the preparatory and follow-up work involved in the courier run. A very small portion is spent on clerical tasks.
Carrying large parcels and handling bins up to 33 lbs (15 kg) while walking and climbing stairs is necessary.
Driving in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions is required.
