Job summary

GS Pro Wire has 2 rewarding opportunities for Fabricator/Machine operators who enjoy working in a manufacturing environment. Workers hired into this position will be trained to produce a range of products for the Mining and Aggregate industries. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but required.

Responsibilities

• Operating various industrial manufacturing machines and hand tools.
• Understands the work activities of each workstation, the co-ordination of workflow to meet schedules and the importance of maintain a high standard of housekeeping of the workstations.
• Have strong knowledge of basic mathematical principals such as length, diameters, fractions and counts.
• Understands the quality requirements of the products and the ability to preform the first quality check.
• Have strong attention to detail.

Physical demands

• Ability to stand and preform highly physical repetitive tasks for and extended period
• Ability to lift 60 lbs
• Ability to operate forklift safely and efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Salary: $17.75-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
