Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible to safely carry out or coordinate maintenance activities for all City facilities the City of Weyburn owns and operates. This role requires good decision making and problem-solving skills as it is responsible for analyzing all mechanical equipment functions and determining the most appropriate course of action. The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is the liaison with external contractors in the event that work cannot be carried out internally, so communication skills are integral to this roles success.
EDUCATION
One (1) year college or technical/trade certificate program in HVAC or Plumbing, or an accreditation as a Journeymen in the trades of plumbing, HVAC, or electrical is considered an asset
Power Engineering 5th Class, Maintenance Coordinator Levels 1 and 2, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) pool operator certifications are considered assets
Valid Refrigeration Engineer Certificate
Class 5 Drivers License and clean driving record
Clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two (2) or more years as Maintenance Coordinator and/or maintenance personnel.
Able to use and understand when to use Power tools daily usage.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and HVAC software.
