For information and to determine eligibility for Department of Health and Wellness Incentives, # Scotia Health is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Site Lead for the Cumberland Regional Hospital in the Northern Zone. Reporting to the Zone Medical Executive Director, the Site Lead is responsible for Supports Department Heads and Specialty Site Leads in ensuring that medical staff within the site are compliant with the Bylaws and Rules and regulations of the NSHA.
Role Accountabilities
1. Supports Department Heads and Specialty Site Leads in ensuring that medical staff within the site are compliant with the Bylaws and Rules and regulations of the NSHA;
Image Brings forward issues and perspectives of Medical Staff at the applicable site to the Zone Executive Director for consideration and/or resolution;
3. Serves as Physician Lead for Emergency Preparedness activities;
4. Assists in managing site overcapacity issues in cooperation with the site Access & Flow Lead.
# Attends regular department meetings and other committee meetings as assigned by the Zone Medical Executive Director;
6. Participates in the monitoring of standards, quality, and utilization of resources of the site in the zone;
7. Participates in any clinical services planning for the Zone;
8. Participates in addressing operational challenges in conjunction with operational co-lead and other relevant stakeholders.
# Participates in recruitment/retention activities for the site and contributes to recruitment and retention strategies for the Zone;
10. Liaises with Site Service Leads to ensure service alignment and streamlined care delivery across the site.
# Participates in Leadership development and shows a commitment to lifelong learning and acquisition and refinement of leadership capabilities.
Eligibility
MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health
Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
