Position:Family Specialist

Department: Mental Health - Early Psychosis Intervention

Status: Permanent Full-time

Hours: Various rotating shifts. 8:30 - 4:30 and one evening shift 11:00pm - 7:00pm (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

Site: Oakville

Overview:

The Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) program is a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treating and supporitng adolescents/young adults (14yrs - 35yrs) who are experiencing early and first episode psychosis. The clinician works as a therapist and case manager within a multi-disciplinary team and provides care in partnership with the clients, their familes/significant others and community partners.

This is what you’ll need to do it:

  • Qualified Allied Health professional
  • Registered with the relevant College
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a clinical psychiatric setting
  • Experience with psychosis
  • Demonstrated family intervention skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of current psychiatric medication treatment trends
  • Strong clinical skills - assessment, counselling, particularly CBT/DBT training
