POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Family Services, the Family Support Worker will be a highly motivated individual who will work with the family to meet their care plan goals and achieve a satisfactory level of wellness and family functioning. They will be required to work with aligning departments such as Protection and Prevention ensuring services are delivered, in accordance with legislation, regulations, policies and accepted practice standards. The ideal person lives a good, and healthy lifestyle, and role models wellness. They are connected to their own culture and are committed to working in a culturally safe way. Finally, the ideal person will be knowledgeable in conflict resolution; has excellent communication skills; and works well under pressure with an understanding that this role enhances opportunities for families to grow and change.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in Indigenous Social Work/Social Work
3 Years experience working with Indigenous Families in crisis with demonstrated facilitation experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
