NOW Canada Support Worker
NOW Canada is hiring!
We are looking to employ an awesome Support Worker to provide assistance to women in our Recovery Program, as well as moms and children who reside in our town houses.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
- One on one case management - identifying needs and providing support and crisis management.
- Completing intakes and discharging participants from the Essentials Program.
- Working with women and children who have fled/are fleeing domestic violence.
- Identifying and providing appropriate referrals.
- Support in attending appointments.
- Driving participants to activities/appointments.
- Rotation of emergency cell.
Skills Required:
- Good understanding of community resources available to support women.
- The ability to assist and support women with a non-judgmental, trauma informed approach.
- Good prioritizing and organizing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience in working with women in recovery.
- Experience in working the Ministry of Children and Family Development and child protection issues.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle.
- Excellent decision making and crisis management skills.
- Parenting skills an asset.
- Facilitation experience an asset.
- The ability to work independently as well as the ability to work collaboratively as a team.
A degree is preferred.
