F&B Service Associate / Host(s)

POSITION PURPOSE

Server Assistance are responsible for consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to provide memorable dining experiences, exceeding our guests’ expectations. FBA’s assist our servers/bartenders in a variety of roles like runner, busser and host and help oversee the food and beverage service within our restaurant (Veranda and Rosseau Grill), Lounge, take-out and event functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Runner:

• Ensure that the dining room area is properly set, cleared, cleaned and re-set throughout the entire shift.
• Assist guest with booking restaurant reservations (through walk in, phone or email)
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House teams
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards
• Thoroughly understanding each menu and being able to demonstrate with confidence and accuracy to guests, including answering questions on ingredients and dietary restrictions.
• Assist servers with table setting, refilling water, bussing etc..
• Complete opening, closing and side duties throughout your shift.
• Complete daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly cleaning assignments
• Other duties assigned by your manager or supervisor.

Host:

• Ensure that the dining room area is properly set, cleared, cleaned and re-set throughout the entire shift.
• Assist guest with booking restaurant reservations (through walk in, phone or email)
• Provide a great first impression when guests arrive, and a lasting impression as they depart.
• As guest enter check them in through our Open Table reservation system, escort them to their table, present them with menu’s and inform them of any daily specials.
• Anticipate guest transition and the timing of table turns.
• Assist servers with table setting, refilling water, bussing etc..
• Monitor the restaurant’s cell phone and email for upcoming reservations and questions.
• Complete opening, closing and side duties throughout your shift.
• Complete daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly cleaning assignments

Other duties assigned by your manager or supervisor

Salary: $16.55 per hour
