Fibre Planner

Responsibilities:

Network Planning:

• Design and plan fiber optic networks to meet the growing demands of our customers.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and propose enhancements to optimize network performance.

Feasibility Studies:

• Conduct thorough feasibility studies to assess the viability of new fiber optic projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical and financial aspects of proposed projects.

GIS Mapping:

• Utilize GIS tools to create accurate and detailed maps for fiber optic network layouts.
• Ensure mapping aligns with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineering teams to implement fiber optic projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of network plans, updates, and modifications.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
• Proven experience in fiber optic network planning and design.
• Proficiency in GIS mapping tools and network planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Salary: $27.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
