Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with our contracted financial team, you will play a critical role in the financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance efforts. You will expertly handle the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, donations, and overseeing payroll processes.
Responsibilities
-Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to the Executive Director.
-Collaborate closely with the contracted Accounting Firm and internal teams to ensure financial processes align with organizational goals.
-Assist the Executive Director in preparing financial reports to the board.
-Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, offering actionable insights to optimize financial performance and sustainability.
-Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
-Track and manage project finances, contributing to the completion of projects within budget and on schedule.
-Assist with month-end reconciliations, including GL accounts, sub-ledger balances, credit cards, bank statements, and vendor statements.
-Support the interim and year-end audit cycle, providing documentation and supplementary financial reports for external accountants.
-Record daily bank deposits and ensure accurate documentation of financial transactions.
-Manage receivables and invoices, overseeing the timely processing and recording of payments.
-Handle accounts payables efficiently, ensuring adherence to payment schedules and accurate record-keeping.
-Perform data entry into QuickBooks Online to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
