The Opportunity:
We are recruiting a FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT 1
- This is a regular full-time role (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some flexibility to meet service needs outside of these hours) based at 737 Woolwich St, Guelph.
Reporting to and under the general direction of the Finance Manager, this position provides financial support and expertise to CMHA WW in keeping with the direction of CMHA WW and it's funders. This position is responsible for full cycle accounts payable processes and processing staff expenses. Other duties include, but not limited to, filing of A/P and staff expenses, expense reconciliations, VISA reconciliations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in a non-profit environment (heath care preferred)
- Accounting Software experience (Great Plains accounting software experience preferred)
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook (e-mail, calendar)
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate quarter end/year end obligations
- Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities with competing priorities in a fast-paced progressive environment
- Must be well organized self-directed, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and must be able to interact patiently, effectively and professionally with staff, physicians and vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY: Level 3 (OPSEU) - $24.11to $29.29 per hour
