About The Ottawa Hospital
The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is one of Canada’s largest learning and research multi-campus hospitals. With more than 1,100 beds and approximately 12,000 staff members, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region.

Rotation/Shifts
Days, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts (07:30-15:30).

Basic Requirements
- Two (2) year Fire Protection Engineering Technician Diploma or another program deemed to be equivalent;
- Current registration with the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA);
- Minimum three (3) years experience, achieved within the last five (5) years;
- Able to perform calculations related to trade;
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics;
- Good diagnostic skills;
- Basic computer skills;
- Good knowledge of Ontario Fire Code, maintenance of fire suppression systems, fixed/portable, WHIMS, NFPA, CSA standards 524, 536 and 537, Occupational Health and Safety act and confined space entry;
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to judge and rectify unsafe conditions, equipment, make recommendations if equipment is to be replaced;
- Good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
