We offer some of the best boats and fishing on the coast. 28-30ft Pursuits, guided out of Port Hardy, BC. Our salmon, bottomfish, and halibut fishing is truly unmatched. It will ruin you for fishing out of any other locations. We go to where the fish are, no or very little restrictions on how far we can run and where we go to find the fish. #1 importance is making sure the guests are having a great time, entertained, and safe. Secondary, but also important, is catching fish and making sure all the gear and boats are well maintained.
Our wages are super competitive and we have some of the best tip rates on the coast, hands down. Must have SVOP, Marine First Aid and all other required certificates. Previous experience a must as well.
Take guests out saltwater fishing (up to 4 guests) including fishing for salmon, halibut, ling cod, and other species of rock fish with occasional wildlife viewing during the day as well.
Daily checks and minor maintenance of all equipment related to guiding. This includes, but is not limited to, all fishing gear (rods/reels/down-riggers), fishing tackle, safety equipment, and vessels. This also includes daily cleaning of the gear and boats. Ensuring all federal fishing and guiding regulations are strictly adhered to.
The employee must also keep a clean and well maintained sleeping quarters. At the end of the season the boat shall be completely bare and gear put away and cleaned accordingly before departing.
Meals and accommodations at the lodge will also be provided by the employer for the employee unless otherwise agreed upon.
