Saltwater Fishing Guide | Luxury Fishing Resort, Haida Gwaii

QCL is a Luxury Fishing Resort set in a protected harbor at the northern end of Haida Gwaii. We pride ourselves in the comfort, friendliness, and platinum standard services we provide, and are interested in crew that share this paradigm. Our summer season begins late-May, running until mid-September.

All crew are provided with pre/post season return travel from Vancouver to Haida Gwaii, meals, a staff lounge and gym facility, shared accommodations, quality uniforms and the opportunity to fish throughout the season.

SALTWATER FISHING GUIDE

Our Fishing Guides have a strong passion for fishing and crave the outdoors. Responsible for the safe operation of our boats, our Guide Team has a strong focus on the guest experience with an emphasis on safety and overall guest comfort.

All Role Requirements:

• Relocating to QCL (Spring-Fall) position based in Haida Gwaii
• Previous guiding experience considered an asset
• Marine Basic First Aid (MBFA) or Basic First Aid certification
• Marine Emergency Duties – A3 (MED-A3) certification
• Small Vessel Operators Proficiency (SVOP) certification
• Restricted Operators Certificate – Maritime (ROC-M)
• Ability to carry moderate-heavy loads, bend/kneel easily, and withstand being on your feet for the entirety of each shift
• Solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic setting
• Desire to learn and provide a first-class guest experience
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Passion for the west coast and interest in the adventures that come along with working/living in a remote lodge environment
