We are hiring
a qualified Fleet Technician for our Fleet department.
 
What you’ll be doing
style="list-style-type:square"-
-The diagnosis, repair or replacement of the various components and systems on vehicles in the fleet
-Preventive maintenance of security systems on vehicles
-Inspection of vehicles according to internal and governmental standards
-Daily accounts of work completed and outstanding work to be done
-General daily maintenance of work vehicles, tools, and equipment
-Over the phone support to other technicians and management staff
-Responsible for regional technology projects as directed
-Any other assigned duties relating to fleet projects.
-Fleet Technician is responsible for assisting 9 branches in the Atlantic Region.

What we’re looking for
style="list-style-type:square;margin-bottom:16.0px"-
-Possession of a valid mechanic license and be a standing member of the Ontario College of Trades is a bonus but not required
-Strong electrical / mechanical skills
-Strong analytical / problem solving skills
-Must be able to work with and in an armed and unionized environment
-Must have a valid G driver’s license with 3 or less demerit points on the license
-Must be able to effectively communicate with peers
-Strong computer skills
-Must be task focused and able to work unsupervised
-Must be willing to travel regularly within the province.  Potential for travel outside of province for special project completion and coverage of other technician’s areas.
