JOB OVERVIEW
The position is front-of-house, meaning a F&B supervisor is one of the restaurant's visible faces to the community. An F&B Supervisor must have excellent customer-service skills and be able to solve problems diplomatically, keeping in mind the reputation of the restaurant. An F&B Supervisor needs to have good management skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks. The F&B Supervisor must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of Restaurant and Lounge. The F&B Supervisor must be considerate, patient and willing to help fellow colleagues.
REPORTING
The Food and Beverage Supervisors will report to the F&B Manager & Assistant F&B Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.
- Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
- Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
- Full time flexible hours are required (able to workdays, nights, weekends, holidays).
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
- Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
- A teamwork-oriented attitude, willingness to assist other departments within the hotel.
- Professional appearance.
DUTIES
- Anticipate needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain communication with and supports the Assistant F&B Manager/ F&B Manager.
- Inspect restaurant, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
- Takes immediate action to correct any issues.
- Manage the guest reservation system and set out sections for all areas including the Restaurant, Patio and Lounge
- Managing payroll by cutting staff during slow times
- Receive and greet guests; assist with seating.
- Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, resolve guest.
Complaints should any arise.
- On Duty (MOD) and handle opening or closing procedures.
- Ensure side work is completed every day and restaurant supplies are stocked. Reports any
supply shortages to the Manager.
- Train new-hires in service standards, menu items, use of POS system and up- selling.
- Train new hires on how to run the bar & make all drinks.
- Train staff on a continuous basis after they have completed their training period.
