Your Opportunity
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Prepare and serve hot food, snacks, ice cream, and drinks to visitors, following food handling and safety procedures
- Process payments following established cash handling procedures
- Ensure proper operation and cleaning of all equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including stock rooms
- Greet visitors and and respond to requests in a friendly, efficient manner
- Sell merchandise and related items
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
- Previous experience/training in the food industry is preferred
- Previous point of sale experience is an asset
- Interest in hospitality, restaurant, resort management is an asset
- Ability to travel to a site not serviced by public transportation
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check (CRC), to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted (if over 18 years old). *Cost covered by Conservation Halton up to $30.00.
- Food Handler Certificate and Smart Serve Certificate is an asset
