Our Sales Team is looking for a tenacious and savvy Sales Representative teammate to help us expand our territory and support an existing clientele base in the Victoria region. This is a great opportunity for that independent hunter to utilize their excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, solutions-driven attitude, and negotiation skills, to name a few.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Businesses Development: Sourcing and securing new accounts and managing existing relationships to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned territory.
- Analyze the client's requirements, acting in a conciliatory manner to properly determine the products that best fit their needs.
- Sales order entry and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and the industry community.
- Support the finance team with customer-related accounting matters.
- Represents Islands West with a high degree of professionalism.
- Communicate market information to the Sales Team to include trends or new product information gathered from both existing customers and business development activities.
- Maintain a high awareness of market pricing, supply, and the quality of produce.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in the Fresh Produce, Foodservice or Hospitality industries.
- University or College business degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Basic computer literacy in MS Office 365.
- Ability to work independently and within a sales team environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract (Drivers N abstract & personal insurance discount).
- Ideal candidate lives in the sales territory.
