Foreman - Civil Excavation

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced civil Foreman to join our team and contribute to our growth and success.

Location:

· Kelowna and Surrounding Okanagan Areas

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Safety: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

· Time Management: Efficiently manage project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.

· Crew Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule work crews, optimizing productivity and resource allocation.

· Quality Assurance: Oversee the installation of shallow utilities, storm and sewer, and watermains, ensuring adherence to MMCD standards and city bylaws.

· Equipment Management: Utilize equipment expertise to enhance project efficiency, including maintenance and coordination of machinery.

· Communication: Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.

· Problem Solving: Address challenges on-site promptly and effectively, proposing solutions to ensure project success.

Requirements:

· Experience with a Minimum of 3 years in installing shallow utilities, storm and sewer, and watermains.

· Equipment experience is an asset.

· A strong understanding of how to read and interpret project plans and specifications.

· Attention to detail.

· A positive attitude, friendly disposition, and eagerness to learn and teach.

· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Willing to travel to different sites.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Civil Excavation.

· Knowledgeable with MMCD standards and city bylaws.

· First Aid Level 1 & 2

· Relevant Safety Courses.

· Familiarity with city bylaws related to excavation and construction.

Working Hours:

· Full-time position, 40+ hours per week

· Overtime available

Salary:

· $36 - $42/hr: Competitive wages, based on experience.
