SalaryARCP is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. We have a job in Liverpool, NS and are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee the project for its duration. This position is responsible for directing and managing all on-site construction workers and equipment, enforcing the company’s directions, policies, procedures, and safety standards, while meeting construction deadlines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a construction setting.
- Experience in heavy civil works.
- Able to work in a team environment and provide guidance to your crew.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Foremen are responsible to lead and direct people, equipment, and resources on ARCP construction sites.
- Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers and report any issues that could affect the project.
- Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Plan work in an efficient and effective manner.
- Read and interpret project plan and specifications.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance.
- Monitor the behaviours, attitudes, and actions of their crew member to ensure they do not impact the safety of themselves or their co-workers.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained. This includes cleaning and greasing as required.
