The Opportunity
Mosaic is seeking a Forestry & Certifications Administrator to work out of our Nanaimo office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Community Initiatives & Certifications, the Forestry & Certifications Administrator will support the Forestry & Sustainability department in a range of administration tasks. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports and other materials as required;
  • Support external reporting and certification auditing processes;
  • Oversee the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan Manual and other key Environmental Management System documents and procedures;
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications and presentations;
  • Organize and maintain databases (i.e., LRM, iTrak);
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials;
  • Arrange and co-ordinate meetings and events;
  • Record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes;
  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute communications;
  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels;
  • Co-ordinate project-based work, and;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary education, with a focus on office administration;
  • 2 + years of experience in an administrative role;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel;
  • Superior organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills;
  • Related work experience within the Forestry Industry preferred but not required;
  • Able to work in a collaborative, team-based environment; and
  • Strong attention to detail and action and results oriented.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $49,350 to $61,700. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
