CROWN Metal Packaging, Beverage Packaging Division has an opening for a Forklift Driver at their manufacturing facility located in the Foothills Industrial Park in South East Calgary. This position works a 4 on, 4 off rotation, alternating between 7am-7pm and 7pm to 7am. The facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry.
Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following:
Primary Function:
Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage & comply with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Comply with all Health & Safety policies, take all required safety training, work in a safe manner at all times.
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift.
- Pull and prepare the product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product are loaded.
- Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
- Completes daily Trailer Inspection prior to loading product.
- Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage.
- Records and Reports any damaged product found in the warehouse or upon loading product.
- Change LP tank or battery LP monitor power source as necessary.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Assist in physical inventories.
- Complete daily inspection of equipment.
- Multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy within the day-to-day operation.
- Communicates any damages to Supervisor or Warehouse manager.
- Cover breaks for Packaging Equipment Operator.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs
