At Dose Coffee, we are on the lookout for a Front of House All Rounder to join our team. Your role will be all encompassing ranging from serving and greeting customers, running food/ drink and providing support to the barista. Preference will be given to those with hospitality experience, however, a positive attitude and solid work ethic will also go a long way!
Primary Role Responsibilities
Customer Service & Hospitality
- Follow the Dose Coffee Steps of Service.
- Handle customer complaints with tact and efficiency.
- Intentionally look for ways to go above and beyond to make each customer's experience memorable.
- Remember regular customers' names and orders wherever possible.
Atmosphere and presentation
- Ensure that the Cafe atmosphere is welcoming, lively and a true representation of Dose's personality.
- Contribute to the Cafe’s presentation by diligently completing opening, closing and cleaning procedures each shift.
Order taking and selling
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from customers, noting any special requests or dietary preferences.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, providing customers with correct change and issuing receipts.
- Utilise your knowledge of the Cafe’s menu and products to effectively update customers on food specials, coffee options as well as upsell and cross sell items.
- Assist customers with our range of retail products by answering questions and providing recommendations.
Table Management
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, presenting dishes in an elegant manner.
- Clear and clean tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and organized dining area for incoming customers.
- Pay attention to food and drink quality / presentation to maintain high standards of quality. As required, work with the bar and kitchen teams to rectify any issues.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with other cafe staff members to ensure a seamless customer service experience.
- Provide backup support to the barista as required by pouring filter coffees, putting on pots of filter, pulling shots etc.
- Assist the kitchen team (including the dishwasher) with putting away orders, putting away clean dishes, bringing up cardboard from the basement etc.
Hygiene and safety
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
- Ensure that all aspects of the front-of-house (cleanliness, organisation and presentation) meet high-quality standards.
Operations
- Stay informed about the cafe's policies, such as opening and closing times, procedures, and any current promotions or discounts.
- Monitor inventory levels of FOH supplies and inform the manager if supplies are running low.
- Report any maintenance issues to the manager.
- Participate in FOH training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest steps of service, menu items and customer experience initiatives.

Experience:
