The Front Office Manager leads with passion, drive and enthusiasm with guest services, sales strategies and brand standards.
This position reports directly to the General Manager/Director of Operations and works in collaboration with the Housekeeping and Maintenance Department. The Guest Service Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Front Desk and provides a dual responsibility as the properties Sales Coordinator. Focusing on corporate negotiated rates, group bookings and marketing the hotel.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Your role as the Front Office Manager will be based on structured duties that are to be completed on a daily, weekly and monthly base. This will include scheduling, payroll and completing a Sales action plan for the hotel.
- You will be expected to cover front desk shifts based on the business levels of the hotel and the needs for shift coverage based on staff illness, call in or short term pick up.
- Working with the General Manager in respect to aggressive Sales & Marketing strategies.
- Assisting the Front Desk Agents in high traffic check in and checkout periods
- Train, coach, develop and supervise according to created guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Maintain standards of guest service as established by ownership, the General Manager and brand standards.
- Conduct performance reviews of all Front Desk Agents
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards, and promote team member empowerment.
- Interact positively with guests and take action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Must have the ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
- Must work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.

- Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to cover overnight shifts on an emergency basis.
Experience Level:
- Candidate must posses 1-2 years of Hotel experience in either a Front Office Department or Sales Office.
