Kicking Horse Janitorial is adding to our awesome team!

We are looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys working independently, appreciates consistent weekly hours, but flexibility in when they are worked. Successful applicants will be reliable, fast learners, who enjoy doing light physical work and are good communicators. Currently, we are seeking a new, permanent team member who is looking to work 30-35 hours a week, with consistent late afternoon/evening shifts. This is a year-round position and does not change seasonally. Shifts are Monday-Friday afternoon/evenings 6-8 hours a shift. While the shifts are consistent, there is a lot of flexibility each day to work around your schedule. Generally shifts can be started at 4pm and finish around 12pm.

Health benefits, wellness plan, and Performance bonus kick in at the 3-month mark. Wage rises annually, as well as with seniority.

Role Summary

• Basic cleaning including, but not limited to, dusting, washing, vacuuming, mopping, removal of garbage, restock supplies etc.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and notify management when stock is low
• Maintain office security and safety at all times
• Follow health and safety regulations including safe lifting and handling techniques
• Reporting replacements and repairs as required

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to complete repetitive cleaning tasks
• Must be able to follow direction and work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Cleaning experience is highly valued, but not necessary for the right candidate
• Ability to manage time effectively and clean within expected time frame
• Positive attitude
• Reliable transportation to various job sites including the ability to transport equipment and supplies. Comfortable with winter driving is a must.
• Open to providing and receiving feedback and constructive criticism
• WHMIS Certification an asset
• Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds

Upon offer of employment, successful candidates will be asked to complete a criminal record check.
