As a Full-Time, Hotel Security Guard with NSPS, you are to support the physical logistics of our operation. The successful candidate will be called upon to work Monday to Friday, 22:00hrs – 06:00hrs, and complete numerous tasks such as reporting incidents, completing professional reports, completing detailed patrols of our sites, completing site check-ins and more. You are responsible for ensuring your required duties assigned are completed and working alongside our Client Service Manager to coordinate the flow of traffic regarding our operation and overall performance of our client.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

- Guard must be at the desk
- Arriving to site on time
- Monitor surveillance equipment.
- Identify, monitor, and report security issues.
- Learn security system and allow traffic to flow in and out from the facility.
- Interior/Exterior Patrol of facility and its property to identify any risks to safety and security.
- Respond to emergencies
- Conduct interior and exterior access point and lock checks.
- Reviewing requested security footage.
- Programming access cards.
- Responding in a polite and professional manner to all requests regarding entry to the facility.
- Basic receptionist duties – e.g., answering phones, greeting visitors and accepting deliveries.

While performing the responsibilities of the Hotel Security Guard role, the employee is required to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs and moving items up to 25lbs are occasionally required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A valid First Aid and CPR Level-C certificate.
  • MUST have reliable means of transportation to work.
  • Have a clear criminal background.
  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Minimum 1 year Security experience.
  • Experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Administration Experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Must be fluent in the English Language (Writing, Typing and Printing).
  • Must complete company orientation and required training courses prior to start date.

You will have access to free on-site parking during shift hours and will be responsible for showing up to all of your assigned shifts, on time, without exception.

Shift: Monday to Friday 10:00pm – 6:00am (Overnight Shift)
