Game Master

Position: Game Master at Mind Hack Room Escape (Truro, NS)

Job Type: Part-Time/Casual (5 - 25 hours per week)

Work Location: 76 Inglis Place (in person – ability to commute required)

Salary: From $15.20 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Game Master! As a Game Master, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for our guests by facilitating interactive games and providing excellent customer service. If you love games/gaming, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! The flexibility of the work schedule means this is an especially great job for college students, artists/entrepreneurs looking to supplement their income, or semi-retired/retired folks.

Responsibilities:

--Unlock/lock building at beginning and end of shift

--Greet and welcome guests upon arrival

--Process card payments and handle cash transactions

--Maintain accurate records

--Explain game rules, tell the ‘story’ of the room, and provide instructions to players

--Monitor game progress and provide hints or clues when necessary

--Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants

--Reset game rooms after each session

--Engage with guests, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service

--Maintain cleanliness and organization of game rooms and common areas

Skills and Experience:

--Previous experience in cash handling is preferred

--Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality

--Excellent public speaking and communication skills

--Experience working with children is a plus

--Basic computer skills required

--Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment

--Ability to work independently without direct supervision

--Basic skills in crafting (ie. using a glue gun) and minor repairs are preferred
