Reporting to the Superintendent of Gas Distribution Operations and Operations Foremen, this entry level role involves a variety of manual labour activities around our natural Gas Distribution facilities including but not limited to:

• Cleaning, organizing and maintaining our meter and construction shops
• Painting meter sets, piping and Gas Distribution facilities
• Maintaining regulating station yards including cutting weeds & yard maintenance
• Assisting with our annual system leak survey and cathodic protection survey
• Assisting with construction projects, meter changes and other daily operational activities

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Flexibility and desire to work in a physically demanding role, including working in all weather conditions. The occasional evening or weekend shift may be requested
• Strong communication skills, a commitment to safety and passion to serve our residents

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Preference will be given to post-secondary students enrolled in Engineering or Engineering Technologies programs.
• Three (3) months experience in construction, yard maintenance, oil & gas maintenance or related activities.
• Possession of a valid Alberta Class 5 license with a satisfactory driving record.
• This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen.
