Administers, monitors and develops, through continuous updates, all aspects of tracking,
scheduling and reporting on activities within the Fleet Business Unit, primarily through a
computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in an effort to improve efficiencies
and reduce overall maintenance costs.
How you contribute to our organization:
- Perform all aspects of administrative work related to the Fleet Business Unit such as the servicing and maintenance of fleet assets, systems, equipment, etc. through development and use of the Town’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other Town applications and systems.
- Use CMMS to monitor the work order system, preventative maintenance, and spare parts inventory. Provide support to system users as required.
- Process, track, and file work orders, purchase orders, and invoices related to equipment maintenance costs and related data.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to assist with the efficient completion of required and preventive maintenance activities.
- Responsible for accuracy and safekeeping of maintenance reports and records.
- Coordinate and liaise with Town Staff and contractors associated with the Fleet Business Unit for scheduling inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, reports, and follows-up.
- Assist with picking up vehicles, Staff, parts, and supplies as may be required.
What you bring to the team:
- Requires successful completion of Community College level certificate in Business Administration or related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience within a related clerical role.
- Requires computerized maintenance management administrator or equivalent experience.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Project, Outlook as well as Internet.
- Must have demonstrated strong computer skills, a working knowledge of relational databases and the ability to learn new software as required.
- Experience in or related to automotive, heavy equipment, and/or fleet services would be an asset.
- Requires a valid G level driver’s licence in good standing.
Salary: $48,776.00 - $60,951.80, plus employer paid benefits and OMERS pension plan
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Start Date: March 18, 2024
