General Accountant

InterAtlas is currently seeking a General Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, in this role you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for our Chemical Division.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

· Invoicing and Accounts Receivable

· Accounts Payable and vendor relationships

· Journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, inventory subledger review

· Month-end responsibilities including Trial Balance through to preparation of P&L

· Assist in performance analysis for the period

· Additional financial projects or tasks, as required

QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US:

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a General Accountant role, or similar

· Experience with QuickBooks is nice to have, but not necessary if you have experience in other or similar ERP systems

· Solid Excel knowledge and experience, creating spreadsheets using Vlookups, SUMIF, and similar functions

· A post-secondary education, focused on Business Administration & Accounting, or currently enrolled in CPA program

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills

· Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, correspondence, and instructions

· Effectively written or oral communication with management and staff, suppliers, and customers

· Understand and maintain high level standards of confidentiality and use discretion and tact
