General Cleaner (Temporary)

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. We are seeking candidate for General Cleaner position in Richmond, BC location.

OBJECTIVE

Responsible for ensuring designated areas are properly cleaned and maintained as per schedule or when needed, general cleaning of assigned machines are carried out as per schedule and assist in material handling and other general duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep and mop the shop floor. Sweep and clean the second floor storage area. Clean Office floors and inside windows cleaning and office washroom.
• Wash the windows inside the shop, wipe down the doors in the shop floor.
• Prepare coffee daily for Admin. Staff lunch room.
• Change the bags in the parking lot garbage cans.
• Maintaining the display room, keeping stock count of customer gift items and coordinate with Sales department to ensure proper accounting and availability of stock.
• Organise and maintain uniforms and miscellaneous store rooms in clean and uncluttered conditions at all times.
• Report and submit maintenance request to maintenance department when necessary, to ensure all facilities and equipment under your care are in proper functioning order at all times.
• Refill all hand sanitizing dispensers/stations.
• Collect the garbage from manager, lead hand and shipper office area.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly stowed away at the correct storage area and report any damaged equipment that needs replacement.
• Clean up after Admin. Staff lunch room and board room before and after use for company functions and visitors occasions.
Participates in other general duties as assigned.

REQUIRMENTS

• Minimum grade 12 completed is required.
• Able to operate normal domestic cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner etc.
• Able to communicate effectively in English – read and write.
• Relevant experience in office cleaning.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs, good team worker, reliable and strong sense of responsibility, take ownership of issues and able to work with minimum supervision etc.
• Able to work Weekends and beyond office hours if necessary.
