General Farm Worker

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join our team. As a Farm Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to farm operations. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate heavy equipment, maintain tools and machinery, and perform manual labor.

Duties:

• Apply fertilizers
• Apply the technique of hoeing between the row
• Budding trees
• Clean the crops
• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Deleafing
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
• Hand harvesting vegetables
• Mixing fertilizer
• Pick row and orchard crops
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Weeding
• Clean work area
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Sort and pack fruits and vegetables
• Harvest crops
• Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, combines, and loaders
• Maintain and repair hand tools, garden equipment, and farm machinery
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
• Perform basic math calculations for measuring and mixing materials

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.40-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
