JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the site manager, the Janitorial and Kitchen Assistant provides support in
the kitchen and ensures the cleaning of the common areas, hallways, and bedrooms.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities
Kitchen Aid :
- Respect the hygiene and sanitary standards
- Ensure the cleanliness of the workspace
- Wash the large and small dishes
- Wash fruits and vegetables
- Cut and peel various fruits and vegetables
- Ensure the filling of the distribution refrigerators
- Cut meat
Maintenance Aid :
- Ensure the cleaning of common areas, corridors and bedrooms
- Sweep the various floor surfaces (interior and exterior)
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms
- Handle and use cleaning products
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience in a similar position
- Bilingualism (French, English), an asset
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse work teams
- Ability to work under pressure
- Have a good sense of organization
Workplace and schedule :
- Be able to work on a schedule of 14 working days followed by 14 days off
- Work in remote areas (James-Bay)
Physical requirement :
- Physical work (long hours, standing)
- Able to lift heavy loads
