General Labourer / Cleaner

Position Summary:

As a General Labourer and Cleaner you will be responsible for maintenance of animal habitats, buildings, grounds and equipment. This could transition to an Animal Care Provider position with benefits for interested individuals. Wage starting at $18.00 a hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Uphold a positive and professional work environment at all times

- Appropriately clean and disinfect assigned animal habitats according to protocol to ensure a sanitary and safe environment

- Always use the provided personal protective equipment while performing duties

- Assist with design and construction of animal habitats

- Grounds and facility maintenance such as snow and ice removal, weeding, garbage removal, cleaning floors, organization, assisting with dinosaur set up, etc.

- Stay up to date on training and organization protocols

Position Requirements:

- Highschool diploma or GED equivalency

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

- This position is physically demanding so applicants must be able to work on their feet for long periods of time and be flexible enough to crouch, twist, bend, etc. in order to maneuver within enclosures

- Should be able to lift 50lbs

- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

- Able to stay calm and maintain strict protocol during stressful situations

- Carpentry, plumbing, and other maintenance skills would be beneficial

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
