The Manufacturing General Laborer will be responsible for performing various physical labor tasks at a manufacturing plant while operating a range of hand and power tools.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and clean work-sites to ensure a safe and organized working environment.
- Assist in the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials by effectively signaling equipment operators.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and repairing machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Utilize abrasive tools or machines to grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces as needed.
- Load, unload, and properly identify building materials, machinery, and tools, distributing them to their designated locations based on project plans and specifications.
Work Conditions:
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, demonstrating proficiency in their operation.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (e.g., safety boots) as required for the job.
- Work in close proximity to moving mechanical parts and in conditions involving heat, humidity, and dust exposure.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry objects
- Maintain excellent stamina throughout the workday.
