General Labourer - Processing
The General Labourer will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day production tasks. You will be an integral part in ensuring that New Toronto Food’s daily operations run smoothly. The candidate will ensure that all manufacturing of products are in compliance with Safe Work Practices, GMP, Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, and strategy. You will report directly into the junior lead for your area.
Job Responsibilities
· Manually cuts, washes, dries, weighs and pack fruits and vegetables.
· Must be willing to work in different departments as required – packing, hand cutting, slicing, dicing, washing etc.
· Dry product when deemed necessary.
· Work closely with Team Leaders and ensure all tasks are completed in the right quantities and in a timely manner.
· Keep work area and equipment clean.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
· Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
· Must be able to work within a cold environment for extended periods of time.
· Able to continuously stand on your feet for an eight hour shift.
· Must be able to work 6 days a week – Sunday to Friday.
· Capable of physical labour and heavy lifting up to 60lbs.
