General Labourer - Piping Department (Afternoon Shift Only)

This is a full time position. Monday to Thursday 4:30-pm- 3:00am

Our weekly shifts are 40 hours with the opportunity for overtime.

Pay is bi-weekly by direct deposit.

Our clean, air-conditioned plant along with our family like atmosphere provides a comfortable and friendly work environment where we continue to grow our product range.

Responsibilities

· Prepare piping and components for use

· Assemble piping and components in the proper orientation and position

· Utilize Oxy-Acetylene torch to solder or braze pipe and component connections

· Perform leak detection on a pressurized system using gauges or electronic equipment

· Evacuate and charge refrigeration systems

· Reclaim refrigeration system and tanks as required

· Move units into and out of charging station

· Follow directions provided by the lead hand

· Assist in creation of work instructions and SOPs

· Maintain a safe and respectful work environment

· Maintain consistently high quality

· Maintain productivity, teamwork and positive morale

· Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills Required

Experience preferred with Brazing and knowledge of working with copper connections.

· Able to use hand tools including tape measures

· Able to explain and communicate concepts and processes to others effectively

· Able to learn new skills and apply them as required

· Able to maintain timelines

· Able to handle stress

· Self-motivated requiring minimal supervision

· Good team player

· Punctuality and good attendance record

· Good organizational skills

· High level of accuracy
