General Labourer/Dz Operator

To meet the growing demand for our services in the trenchless sewer and water industry, Empipe Infrastructure Group is looking for exceptional team members to join our Hannon, Ontario location as General Labourers.

A DZ driver's license is preferred but not required. Experience operating a Combo/Vac/Flusher Truck is preferred but also not required.

General labourers who demonstrate the ability and drive for advancement will be considered for training and promotion to advanced equipment operator positions.

Starting salary is dependent on license type and work experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and crew for successful cleaning, rehabilitation and repair of sanitary and stormwater lines
• Operate vehicles (Pickup with Trailer, Combo Flusher Truck, CCTV Cube Van) and equipment in the course of work
• Complete daily driver logs and vehicle inspection reports as per Ministry of Transportation requirements
• Set up traffic controls, safety equipment, and other equipment as required for the job
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assist in confined space entry
• Ensure compliance with government and corporate safety procedures
• Maintain effective communication with management via phone and email
• Perform additional duties as needed

Job Details & Qualifications

• 20% driving, 80% site work
• Travel required within various locations in Canada
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Approximately 48-58 hours per week, including day, night, and occasional weekend shifts
• Ability to work overtime
• Safety certifications such as First Aid, Traffic Control, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and WHMIS are preferred but not required
• DZ license preferred but not required
• Experience operating a Combo/Vac/Flusher Truck is preferred but not required
• Training provided for all required safety certifications
• Previous sewer/infrastructure industry experience is highly valued
