General Labourer/Equipment Operator

Our goal is to provide professional Horizontal Directional Drilling Services to Southwestern Ontario.

Precision Directional Drilling Inc. is seeking a General Construction Labourer to join our team, the company is based out of Zurich, ON, but work area spans across Southwestern Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Operate all tools and heavy equipment required to install conduits/pipes in the ground independently and safely
• Ensure that all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored.
• Ensure all equipment is running as it should and report any maintenance/issues to the Maintenance Department
• Cleaning and maintenance of all heavy equipment and job site equipment.
• Load/unload and transport materials on trucks and trailers.
• Communicate effectively with the site foreman
• Complete all required payperwork daily
• Complete all duties safely and efficiently in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
• Follow all rules and regulations in accordance with the CVOR
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks such as digging coupling/daylighting pits
• Ability to work in confined areas
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment as a team member
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in a fast paced environment around excavators and other heavy equipment.
• Willingness to learn
• Posses a Valid Ontario Class G License with a clean record(Restricted A license preferred)
• Good time management skills with ability to prioritize work tasks in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience operating heavy or agricultural equipment is an asset
• Ability to follow instruction in both oral and written form from Management and complete requested tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write reports and perform other administrative tasks such as filing paperwork or correspondence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $25.00 per hour
