The General Manager under the direction of the president is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations, management, and customer relations of the company.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee management of all departments within the organization. Increase profits for the company by coordinating organizational and operational activities.
Ensure positive customer relations by meeting with new and existing customers, the community and industry leaders to enhance company reputation. Assess the facilities and equipment on a regular basis to determine their ability to meet the needs of the company. Oversee facilities and equipment purchase and sales.
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position within the trucking Industry
- Strong financial management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work with and through others to develop a strong, high-performing team.
- Ability to defuse difficult situations and deal with employees at all levels on a professional basis.
- Excellent computer and analytical skills
- Demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of leadership, coaching, communication, accountability, and performance management.
- Degree in Business Management
