Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to move and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform warehouse distribution activities including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping orders
- Build and assemble product orders for shipment to customers
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and maintain accurate records
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is beneficial
