The Pinestone Resort and Conference Centre Overlooks 160 acres of lush “Cottage Country” landscape in the scenic Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. The area’s only full-service hotel with a golf course and restaurant, just two and a half hours from Toronto. Staff and Guests can enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities ranging from hiking, biking, golfing, fishing and swimming.
The Assistant Pro Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Pro Shop, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, managing inventory, and promoting our golf services and products effectively. This role demands exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the game of golf.
Duties Include:
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Assist in hiring, training , and supervising Pro-Shop and Outside Servicestaf and fostering a team environment that delivers outstanding customer service.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
- Liaise with the Director of Golf to ensure the shop's offerings align with the resort's goals and members' needs.
- Assist in handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in golf equipment and apparel to enhance the shop's offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in organizing leagues and tournaments.
- Ensure the Pro Shop's presentation and cleanliness are maintained to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills and experience with point of sale (POS) systems
- Enthusiastic and Energetic
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and ability to adapt to changing schedules and customer needs.
- Basic math and cash handling skills, and ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Must have or able to obtain Smart Serve
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Familiarity with golf terminology, etiquette, and customs preferred, but not required.

Salary: From $17.55 per hour
