The Real Wool Shop is looking for a high-energy Assistant Manager to help organize and run our evolving Fashion/Yarn retail store. This position is essential in ensuring the sales’ team meets our sales targets and customer satisfaction. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will be physically capable, entrepreneurial, out-going with a keen eye for fashion.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years retail management experience with a sharp business mindset. They will be skilled at organizing, problem-solving and communicating new ideas. Interpersonal skills will also be very useful since they will be acting as a liaison between manager, employees and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers (buying product, visual displays, website, social media, marketing, fashion/trade shows)
- Proficiency with computer programs and POS systems
- Coordinate daily customer service operations (POS sales system, web orders)
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
- Monitor and maintain store and inventory
- Make sure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines
- Represent the store in dress and decorum
