Camelot is looking for an exceptional, passionate, and visible Golf courseAssistant Superintendent to assist in leading our Course Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with their staff and colleagues.
An employee-oriented motivator, our new Assistant Superintendent will build a strong team, be a mentor for their staff and embrace change. Collaborating with fellow assistants and the Superintendent, the candidate will be present, accountable and possess a high degree of professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Degree or certificate from a recognized turf management program or a high degree of experience related to Golf Course management
- 3+ years experience working in a Golf Course or sports field environment
- Must hold or be in the process of gaining an Ontario landscape pesticide certification and license.
- Safe Chainsaw operation certificate, and applicable experience considered an asset.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A strong understanding of cultural practices as related to Golf Course maintenance
- Possess strong communication skills, both written & verbal, and carry out and communicate to others on the team
- Ability to supervise, lead, motivate and demonstrate a positive work ethic within a team
- Ability to perform various heavy physical labour for long periods of time
· Compensation & Benefits:
A salary in the range of $60,000 - $65,000 plus an annual bonus will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
