Camponi Housing Corporation is Saskatchewans largest Mtis housing corporation, managing over 350 rental units in the city of Saskatoon and in the next year will be celebrating the opening of the first phase of a supportive housing project in the Blairmore. Hart Road phase 1 will include 73 new homes as well as a daycare, office and public spaces We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Grant Writer, with some knowledge of affordable rental housing, supportive housing and experience working with Indigenous communities to fill the position of Grant Writer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing Camponis mission, vision and values. The Grant Writer will work in collaboration with the Hart Road Project Manager, the Executive Director and other staff members within Camponi Housing Corp to seek and secure funding to support current and future program activities including funding for capital projects. They will also lead the process of developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals to various government and private funding agencies.
Responsibilities:
-Familiarize oneself with the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial requirements of Camponi Housing Corp, particularly in its mission to provide safe, affordable, and dignified housing to the Mtis community.
-Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities from both government and non-governmental agencies that align with the goals and initiatives of Camponi Housing Corp.
-Develop comprehensive grant proposals and accompanying documents tailored to the specific funding criteria and priorities of Camponi Housing Corp including cultural enhancement and tenant empowerment.
-Address internal and external inquiries regarding both drafted and submitted grant proposals, providing necessary information and clarification as needed.
-Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with potential fund providers, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure ongoing support for Cam
